Ehren Joseph is a New York based photographer. Before pursuing photography, Ehren received a degree in sculpture and taught classical figure drawing, painting, and sculpture at a fine arts studio. It was documenting his three dimensional work that ultimately led him to photography.
In his work, light is a concept, a reaction, or something he manipulates in order to capture a moment through the aperture of a lens; it is tangible and malleable. When a sculptor models clay or stone they are modeling light, and the medium or material becomes secondary. As Ehren exposes a photograph, he is using instruments to model and shape that light.
Ehren's ultimate goal is to encourage the viewer to forge an emotional relationship to an intimate set of images. His client list includes Saks 5th Avenue, Tommy Hilfiger, Phillips-Van Heusen, Donald J. Trump Collection, Izod, Arrow Shirts, Geoffrey Beene, Nike, R/GA, The New Jersey Nets, Orange, Sherman's Travel Media, Ink Publishing, and Human Rights First.
